sanity check - 1095-A

Hi there,

Looking for a sanity check.  I'm running the TurboTax Smart Check and it keeps flagging the same issue.  It shows the prompt on form 1095-A: "Check if no marketplace health insurance purchased."  The box is checked.

My wife and I have been covered by an insurance plan through my employer all year.  Same goes for 2022, after we got married.  Prior to getting married, we were covered by our own individual insurance plans through our respective employers.  It's been a number of years (2019-20?) since I've been on a marketplace plan, and not sure my wife was ever on one.

Is it okay just to leave that checked and move on??  (Thanks Obama...)

If you need to delete the 1095A from your return

To delete it, please follow these steps:

    1. In TurboTax, open your return
    2. In the left-hand column, locate Tax Tools, click on the drop-down arrow then click on Tools
    3. On the Tools Center  page, click on Delete a form
    4. A list of forms will appear. Locate the Form 1095-A and click Delete next to it.
    5. On the next screen, click Delete Form
