I don't have a 1099 form I was paid cash. This is my first time filing my taxes myself and I'm so confused.

The cash payments for self employed individuals are reported differently than 1099-Misc income; here are the steps:

  1. Type Schedule C in the Search box - see pic
  2.  Select the Jump to blue link

This will take you to where you can enter any cash, personal checks or credit card payments (Form 1099-K) related to your self-employment. You may be asked some general questions about your business first. After you answer them, you’ll be taken to the Your Business Income screen where you can enter cash as General/Additional Income.
