I received a 1009-Misc for some freelance graphic design work and I'm getting all questions about a Schedule C during the "check for errors" phase. This one I don't know how to answer: Required to File 1099 must be entered. I don't know which one to check: 1099 Reqd Yes or 1099 Reqd No?

This question relates to whether you as a business (Schedule C) were required to ISSUE any 1099s. Business owners are required to issue a 1099 to any contractor that they paid at least $600.

If you were not required to issue a 1099 to a contractor, you'd answer NO to the question.
