Schedule E Glitch

We rented out our house last year so I had to complete Schedule E. Whenever I finish it up and go through the tax review, it prompts me that there's an issue with the Schedule E. I've gone through the process that Turbo posts MANY times but it doesn't fix anything. I spent time online with a tax person in chat who didn't know anything about it and suggested that I call the number posted. I did and was told there's a "glitch" with the system and Turbo is working on it. She suggested I give a few days, maybe a week, and come back to the program. Does anyone else know anything about this?

    There is a known issue with Schedule E in that one or more depreciable assets are not carried over automatically from 2019 to 2020. This may be what the review is referring to.

    I used the work around that is posted on the site and it doesn't work for me. What it does do is cause my 1099-Misc to duplicate over and over again. Completely messes up my return. When I delete the extra entries and know that the depreciation is in place (as it should be), I end up getting that notice again upon final review. It's like being a hamster running around on a wheel!

    I am having a similar and equally frustrating issue.  When it went to wrap up, it required me to enter a percentage for my schedule e rental property.  We rent out 40% of our home, but I already put in all actual expenses (40% of total).  When I put in 40% at the wrap up, it then reduced my expenses by 40% again.  I cannot find any way to fix or update the percentage for the schedule E.  Now the expenses are all a fraction of the real ones and do not line up with previous years where turbotax asked if you wanted to enter actual expenses or have turbotax calculate for you.  I always entered actual.  This year it did not ask.  How can I fix??  No answers from turbotax...frustrating!

    I got fed up with Turbo responses (or lack thereof). No one could help me online and told me to call Turbo. I did. I was connected with someone I couldn't understand and it was a terrible connection. I then called back and, surprisingly, the representative who picked up the phone called me by name immediately (gave me the creeps). I explained the problem and she said "It's a problem we're well aware of and are working on it." She suggested I give it a rest and go back in a few days... it still wasn't fixed. After using Turbo for years, I gave up. I went over to HR Block online and did my taxes in less than an hour and submitted them without any problems. It was a much easier and satisfying process. My taxes are already accepted and being processed. Bye bye Turbo.

    Exactly how I feel.  I have used turbotax for years and this year it seems like it was more glitchy, harder to fix, and IMPOSSIBLE to get help.  I tried the questions and chats and asked for help and it said a rep would call in 53 minutes.  Unacceptable.  I deleted my entire rental income section and did it again being careful to enter 100% at the final step so it would not prorate already prorated numbers.  Service was terrible this year, so hard to get support for their own software issues.  I may be switching next year if I have a similar experience.  FRUSTRATING.
