Schedule M1CMD requires a 7 digit file folder number, but Minnesota file folder/license numbers are 6 digits

Hello,

I am trying to submit my Minnesota tax return and with it I am filing Schedule M1CMD (Credit for Attaining Master’s Degree in Teacher’s Licensure Field). I cannot file online because the I keep getting an error that says my file folder number must be 7 digits long and my number is 6 digits. I tried to file with an x at the end and also with a space after my number to meet the requirement, not receive the error and still file. Both returns were rejected. Someone at TurboTax needs to update the form to accept a 6-digit number.

You are correct the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board license file folder number used to claim the 2022 Credit for Attaining Master’s Degree in Teacher’s Licensure Field can be 6 or 7 digits. Try using a leading zero since your number is only 6 digits.
