senior standard deduction

Doing my turbo tax 2024 and my senior deduction should be $1950 and it isn't.?   Why and how can I change it to be that amount?

    No.  It should be $16,500.  You get an extra $1,950 on top of the $14,600.

    This is done automatically in TurboTax when you enter your Date of Birth.  If it is not appearing on your tax return, then you need to go back to the personal info section and double check your entry.

    Also, senior is 65 or over.  So if you were 64 on 12/31/24, you would only get the $14,600.
