No, it is the amount you earned. Health insurance premiums are usually paid with taxable income.

If your employer provides employer paid health insurance, that won't be in box 1, but you can't deduct the payments either.

Box 1 will only be less pretax allotments, such as 401(k) retirement contributions and Flexible Spending Accounts.
