Should I claim my daughter as a dependent if her income was $19k and she lived with me for the full twelve months as a full time stiludent

    If your daughter was a full-time student  under the age of 24, you can claim her as a qualified child dependent even if she had $19K of income.  She can file her own tax return to seek a refund, but must say on her own return that she can be claimed as someone else's dependent.
