Question

Should I mail out my form even if rejected as a result of AGI not matching records?

I did not have a tax return last year AFAIK. The only thing I had was a 1099-MISC which I let my parents took care of. I tried putting $0 and 2018’s income from the 1099-MISC into the AGI, but neither one was accepted. Will I run into any errors if I mailed this year’s tax return instead of eFiling it?

No, you won't have any problems because you mailed your tax return. Just be sure to sign it.

Your AGI from 2018 is used as a substitute for signing your tax return when you e-file If you print and mail you tax return, the AGI isn't needed because you sign the Form 1040 before mailing it.
