Question

Should I report a 1099-Misc form if I received payments for a workers' compensation injury? If so, how do I do it with the free service?

The free edition doesn't offer this option, I'm just curious how to go about doing this?

You don't have to report that as an income, because  the workers' compensation benefit isn't taxable in most cases. However, if you received Form 1099 MISC, you have to include it in your tax return, because it could be a different reason the form was issued to you. It is included in TurboTax basic.
