The address to use on your 2024 return Form 1040 is the current address to which you want the IRS to contact you by mail about any issues with the 2024 return. It's also the address to which they would mail a check for a tax refund if a direct deposit failed.

You need to use your current address. It's the address that the IRS will use to contact you if needed.
