Should my daughter, age 22, who is a full time student file federal taxes if she has filed in previous years if her pay is below the require amount this year? She will not get much back, but don't want to raise any flags by not filing this year.

She does not have to file if she got W2 income less than 6,300 except to get back any withholding taken out.

She does have to file if she got a 1099Misc for any amount.

If she does file a return be sure she checks the box that says she can be claimed on someone else's return.  That is VERY important!  The Online version is only good for 1 return. But you can use the same email address for 5 accounts.  To do another return you have to set up a new account and new user name and pay any fees again.
