show last years data

I have been using Turbo Home and Business for years. In the past it has always show the previous years data and saved most of the supporting data info. I don't see that in the 2019 version. Is this a change or am I missing something or doing something wrong.

I can pull up the 2018 version next to the 2019 version and cut/paste, but this seems a little crude.

I started a new return and this time all the data was transferred. I tested using win10 and win7, it worked on both. Don't know what went wrong the first time. I'm thinking something cut off the transfer the first time I did it and only the personal data got transferred.

Did you transfer in your 2018 tax return when you started the 2019 return?   If you skipped this step, none of your previous years' data will show.  You will need to start a new return in Home and Business, see instructions below.

  1. Launch TurboTax 2019 and click Start a New Return (or go to File in the upper left corner and select New Tax Return).
    • Don't select Continue, as transferring is only available on new, empty returns.
  2. Click the Transfer Return button on the Good News! screen.
    • You can also click Browse and in the pop-up window, select All Files (*.*) from the drop-down at the bottom. Then, in the left pane, browse to wherever you stored your 2018 return and click Open.
    • Still can't find it? It might be on another computer; see this article for help in moving it to this computer.
  3. Follow any on-screen instructions. We'll give you opportunities to review, edit, or delete transferred information later on.

Note that once you've gone past the Transfer screens, you can't go back to revisit them. If you need to re-do your transfer, go back to Step 1 to start over with a new return.

I transfered my 2018 return and the names, addresses and other personal info transfered, so assume it transfered data.

But it does not show last year's supporting data like it has in past versions.

I will try starting over. I don't save my tax info in the TurboTax default folders, but that has never been a problem before.
