I'm trying to do my sister's taxes.  She receives Soc Sec and small pension. about 11,000.00 a year in pension.  She is in an assisted living care center and Medicare takes all but 50.00 a month.   They made us stop withholding from her  pension the 1st of the year.  How do we do her taxes. I'm not seeing any questions about medicare or medicade.

thank YOu

Your sister might not need to file a tax return if the total of her $11,000 + one-half of her Social Security income is less than $25,000. If she is required to file a tax return, she won't have any taxable income due to the deductible medical expenses.
