My son 16 yrs old worked  in alaska for summer...it is telling me he doesnt get anything  back...is this true?

Social Security and Medicare taxes are not ever refundable. Never. If he had no Federal income tax withheld, then he gets absolutely nothing back and he may even owe.

Were his wages reported on a W-2? Was any federal tax withheld? Were his wages reported on a 1099-MISC? Please be very specific in your answer.

He had a w2 and ss and medicare were taken out of his check .
