So I ended up logging into my turbo after a year didnt notice that it was filing my taxes as self employed and the other years it says deluxe is this going to cause me issues with my taxes and how can

You must be getting 1099-MISC income. This is income paid to a contract worker, meaning you are not paid by an employer, are self-employed.

If you do not claim any expenses, you can file a simple C by using TurboTax Deluxe.

If you do claim expenses, you need to use the TurboTax Self-employed software.

This should not cause an issue, you can always start in TurboTax Free and progress to the higher version if needed.
