I'm in the military stationed in Montana with my family.  My wife received a W-2GU from guam where she's from. How do we proceed in filing our returns jointly or if she has to file her own return with Guam.

Since you are based in the military, her income from Guam can be reported on your 1040.

However, you will have to complete Form 5074, Allocation of Individual Income Tax to Guam or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).  This form is used to determine how much tax needs to be paid to Guam based upon the W-2GU she received.

This form is not supported in TurboTax but I have enclosed a link to the form for you to complete.
