State E-filing fee in March (versus February) - what if I pay in Feb but file in Mar?

I understand that if you e-file your state return in February it's $20, but if you wait until March the price increases to at least $25.  What if you pay (charge to credit card) in February, but don't e-file until March.  Will I get charged an additional $5 or so?  Sometimes you have to wait until March to e-file (e.g., waiting on information, need a revised tax form, etc.).  I don't mind paying in February (at the lower fee) if I can e-file in early March.  Anyone know?

If you pay before March 1, you get the lower price regardless of when you actually file.
