I recently purchased Turbo Tax with the understanding that it allowed for 5 free federal tax filings and 1 free state filling.  I just submitted my state return and I was charged $20.  Is this correct?  If not how do I get my payment back?

Yes, $20 fee to e-file is correct.  With the Desktop software, there is no free State e-file.  What you get is one free State program to prepare your return.

With TurboTax Deluxe CD/Download software, you get one free state download. This means you can prepare and print unlimited returns for one state at no extra cost. There is an additional fee to e-file your state return.
