State Tax

I was told my State Tax was free but it asked me to pay for it. Why??

Your state tax return is free, if you are using the Free Edition of TurboTax.

You can switch to the Free Edition, however the information that you can enter is pretty limited.

It is important to make sure you’re eligible to Free File. If you answer yes to any of these question, you qualify:

To switch to IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax.

Sign out of your existing TurboTax account.
Go to the IRS Free File delivered by TurboTax website and sign in to your same account from there.
Select Yes, switch to IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax when asked, and Continue.
