Step-by-step and form data do not agree. I think this was due to changes this weekend. I can see income in the forms, but not in the step-by-step.

this weekend was Jan 6, 2024. How do you make the income visible in the step-by-step? (This is 1099-B income.)

Much of the 2023 program is still under construction and there will be many many updates to come in the next couple of weeks. Don't use Step-by-Step for a summary of what you have entered at this point; go by the data you see in Forms Mode on the forms and worksheets.

Where exactly in the Step-by-Step interview is income not shown that you think should be there? What is the heading or title of the screen, and what income is missing? On what form and line number do you see income that does not appear in the Step-by-Step interview?

In general you cannot rely on the summary screens in the Step-by-Step interview. You have to look at the actual forms. The screen that says "Your 2023 Income Summary" generally shows what you entered, not the taxable amount. For investment sales reported on a 1099-B it shows the net gain or loss, not the total amount of the proceeds.
