still can't e-file 2022 federal tax return. Turbo tax says transmission could not go through

I am Texas resident, so state tax return is not involved at all.

its already 1/30/2024 so Federal e-file should and is already open.

Turbo tax tries to e-file for my 2022 (yes 2022, not 2023 but for a prior year)

Turbo tax 2022 (desktop version) not able to transmit and asks to re-try and that fails too.

Does Turbo-tax not allow to e-file for a federal tax return lets for 2022 beyond Oct 31 2023 (extension data)?

I guess that is not the case. How to fix this issue?

Sorry you have to print and mail prior year returns in Turbo Tax. Just ignore the error messages.

I thought that it allowed us to do e-file upto 2 prior year.

at least IRS site says that it one can e-file for unto 2 prior years, so Turbo tax (as a paid service/software) should accommodate that.

if not then that's a pretty downer.

I probably need to switch to a different service/app.

Same, I'm wondering why I purchased 130 in 2022 and 2023 apps just for them to make me efile lmao
