Stimulus Dependency Change

Son's dependency status changed from 2020 to 2021 from not a dependent to dependent after he moved back home.  He received the third stimulus check and 6475 letter, but TurboTax is also including him in the Recovery Rebate Calculation on my return.  My son isn't required to file a return for 2021 because he didn't earn enough.  Will he have to return the stimulus funds he received now that he is being claimed him as a dependent? Should I include the stimulus funds he received on my return or not since they were not paid to me?  Thank you!

He does not have to return the stimulus amount he received.

You do not include receiving the stimulus payment for him on your 2021 tax return.

You are eligible to receive the Recovery Rebate Credit for him on your 2021 tax return.
