Stimulus qualifications for my child and her father

My daughter was born January of this year 2021, can i get recovery rebait credit for her on the third stimulus payment or not because she wasn't my dependent in 2020. Also would i qualify for the 300 dollar payments for cares act when it passes? Also I'm disabled with no earned income. Then I have been taking care of my boyfriend but he has had no income to speak of only a few hundred dollars here and there cash no taxes. Would he have qualified for any stimulus money at all? Please help!?

Unfortunately, your daughter will not qualify for the stimulus because she was born in 2021. The details for the Child Tax credit are not finalized but it is a refundable credit so you should qualify. Keep an eye on the news because the IRS will have a website so you can sign up since your baby is new in 2021.

Your boyfriend should be able to claim the stimulus check- he would have to file a tax return even if he has no income.

WHOA!

While the baby born in 2021 is NOT eligible for the first two stimulus payments, the baby does INDEED qualify the parents for the 3rd stimulus. However, it'll be a Recovery Credit on the 2021 tax return.

So maybe a matter of semantics that you won't receive the 3rd stimulus for Baby, but you will receive the $1400 Recovery Credit on the 2021 tax return!
