We sold some stock this year. I have all the paperwork for proceeds, cost basis, gain/loss and whether long or short term. TurboTax asks me if this stock is from an ESPP - Does it matter if I have all the other numbers?

No, the TurboTax program has that option in anticipation to what the Taxpayer may need to know or adjust.

If the Taxpayer is aware of the adjustments that may need to be made, they can enter the stock without stipulating that it is ESPP stock.

There is no place on Form 8949 or Schedule D to specify the stock was ESPP stock.
