System thinks I'm refiling, but never sent in original forms

I made an error when I first did my taxes that prevented me from being able to e-file (required printed forms), realized my error before ever sending my taxes in, and then amended to correct that error. However, Turbotax thinks I'm refiling, so will not allow me to e-file. Can I get the system to "know" that I didn't send in the first set of forms it created, so it lets me e-file, or at least doesn't mark up the forms as amended?

Does it think you are amending?  Delete the amended return.

You should have clicked on Add A State to get back into your return.   Then How to change from Mail to Efile

Can I delete an amendment that I've already finished?

Yes you should.  I posted the link how to undo it above.
