Take action on my amended return ext 653 ? Has anyone had this message on the irs website ? Possible meaning behind the message ?

    A take action message likely means you need to do something so you can either call them or wait for a letter.  No one but the IRS can tell you what they need from you. There should be a phone number listed with the extension to call.
