The following TurboTax help article will outline the time frames allowed for amending a tax return.  In general, you have up to three years after you filed the original return to file an amended return.

 

What is the deadline for filing an amended return?

 

If you are amending to request an additional refund, be sure to file before the deadline because otherwise any additional refund will be forfeited.
