Tax Year Prior to 2020: Can I file married separated without spouse w2’s?

Yes, you do not need to report your spouses income on your return if you are filing as married filing separately. You do need to report your spouses name and social security number though on the return. 

 

If you do not have that information, you will need to print and mail in our return.
