The Online Free Edition is free for both federal and state. In the Online versions Deluxe and above each state is currently $40. Click on State Additional under the price,

In the Desktop programs Deluxe and above you get 1 free state program download to prepare unlimited state returns (in the same state). But then each state return is 19.99 or 24.99 to efile. But you can print & mail state for free.

Using the TuboTax online editions there is an additional charge for a state tax return program that is currently $40 for each state program.

Go to this TurboTax website for the online editions and under each edition click on the link State additional right under the price of the edition - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/
