Question

Tax Year Prior to 2020: My payment arrangement to pay the amount owed (federal) has still not been taken out of my account. It was scheduled to be removed on 2-2-20

Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening? Or what I can do about this?

That can happen when the IRS has not processed or approved your tax return by the date you indicated you wanted the funds to be withdrawn. Do not worry. It can take a few weeks for the IRS to process, accept and initiate the funds to be withdrawn. 

 

If you do not see the funds withdrawn from your account by the end of March you can call the IRS and check to see if there is a problem.
