Question

Tax Year Prior to 2020: What AGI should be put to e-file If we change ITIN to SSN this year? I tried real AGI from last year but got rejected, I suspect this is because we SSN instead of ITIN

You will need to enter $0 as you did not file a tax return with that Social Security number last year.

How to find your 2018 AGI

Found a few similar issues:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/it-often-happens-that-there-are-problems-efiling-the-year/01/32635#M13849

So

1. I need to use $0 for AGI as SSN and ITIN profiles not combined

2. need to send mail to IRS to combine ITIN with new SSN to have one track record.

Thank you.

Can you use your IP PIN instead?
