I am trying to file taxes for 2017 and I’m using 1099 but the irs just sent me what income I’ve made that year.what is next step to file? How do I get a 1099 form from that year

What kind of 1099 was it? There are about two dozen kinds of 1099's. Many come from financial institutions like banks and brokerages; if you were self-employed or worked as an independent contractor do you mean a 1099Misc?
