Turbotax provides online and desktop software that allow you to file your tax returns. However, once your return has been accepted by IRS or your state, TurboTax receives no information as to the status of your refund.

To make sure your return has been accepted by the taxing authority,

Sign in to TurboTax to check your current status. You'll find it in Tax Home after sign in.

If you used TurboTax CD/Download you can check your e-file status by opening the File menu and selecting Check E-filing status or by opening your return, selecting the File tab, and selecting the Check E-file Status header.

If your returns show they were rejected, you will need to make the necessary corrections and re-file them.

If your returns show they were accepted, you can check on your federal refund from the IRS website using this link: Check on my Refund Status.

You will need to check with your particular state to check on any state refund: State Departments of Revenue
