Did you efile?  Was it Accepted?

Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?

If you used the Online version you can check your efile status here

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  And check your spam folder for them.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

Keep waiting.   The IRS is taking longer to process returns this year.  3  weeks (21 days) is just an estimate.  What does the IRS say?

If your return was Accepted then check IRS Where's my refund

Hi @Kittiesrus ,

Please call the TurboTax hotline at 1-800-4INTUIT (1-800-446-8848) or log into your TurboTax account if you prepared your taxes with TurboTax. If you used a different tax provider, you can check on the status of your refunds with the IRS here:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If you are checking on the status of your state tax return, please let me know which state you are checking and I can send you a link to that state's refund tracker. Thank you!

Best regards,

Robert

Hi @Kittiesrus,

I can provide you with an IRS phone number to call to check on your refund. It is 800-829-1954

First, though, you may want to log into TurboTax and check the status there. If you e-filed, it will show you if your return was accepted or rejected.

If it says your return was rejected by the IRS, you will need to address the reason it was rejected and file it again.

If it says it was accepted, then in addition to the number above you can also check on your refund by going to https://www.irs.gov/refunds.  You will need to have your social security number (or taxpayer identification number), your filing status, and the exact amount of the refund on your return.
