I live in nyc.  I am single no dependents. I make $62,400 a year. how much you think I get back, if I filed taxes. an estimate. Thanks

    No way for anybody here to know.

     

    Depends on how much $$ you had withheld,....separately for US, NY, & NYC.

     

    You could owe more to every one of them at tax time...or you could get a partial refund from one or all.

    For the Feds  (IRS)

    using

    1)Standard Deduction

    2) No HSA, 401k or IRA contributions.

    3) Your IRS tax liability, is very roughly ~$6000.

     

    SO you'd check your approx final Federal income tax withholding to see if it exceeds that number, and if it does, you'd collect the difference as a refund.   (Fed income tax withholding does NOT include SS or Medicare $$ withheld)
