Taxes on EDD? Do I have to pay taxes? I just got on it and want to know that?

Good question.

As of right now, there has been no legislation exempting unemployment income from taxable income for 2021. So, yes, your unemployment income will be taxable at the federal level.

However, I assume you are in CA based on the fact that you mentioned EDD. California itself does not tax unemployment income, so unless you live in another state, you will not have to worry about state taxes, only federal. Keep in mind that you do have the option of withholding taxes from the unemployment compensation payments so you don't end up owing when you file.
