Taxes on online purchase from another country
I bought gem stones online from Thailand and was not charged any taxes. Do i need to report this on my Virginia State Return?
Unless you purchased the gems for resale and charge sales tax to your customers, you'll need to report that purchase when asked about out of state purchases (use tax) on your state tax return.
