I have always installed/run the desktop turbotax app on my laptop, but saved/accessed tax returns on an external hard drive attached to a networked desktop computer.  That networked drive is visible from windows explorer, and in the past was also always accessible through turbotax -- until this year.  This year Turbotax cannot see the networked drive.  What gives?? has the program been restricted to local drives only?
