Why is TurboTax 2020 Deluxe installer not recognized by MS Defender and why does file extraction fail?

Shutting off your internet security long enough to download the installation file is not uncommon. So do that unless you know how to let your fire wall accept the information.

Launch Windows Defender Security Center from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
Click the App and browser control button on the left side of the window.
Click Off in the Check apps and files section.
Click Off in the SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge section.

Or try using a different browser if EDGE is being a pain.

I turned off smart screen, disabled defender, disabled all the Norton antivirus/firewall. Still get "failed to extract". Called TurboTax help who gave me these steps. VERY poor install. If Intuit doesn't fix the issue in 3 weeks, I'm asking for a refund.
