Question

The 1095-A should have been corrected but Marketplace and IRS both told me to fill in the form the way it SHOULD HAVE been as the financial part would not have changed?

Answer what is correct and can be proven.

The 1095-A would matter if you are getting premium tax credit based on your income. If your income is too high, then the numbers would not matter.

The 1095-A is supposed to be correct, if not, they should have given you the corrected numbers and be sending a corrected form.

You want to be accurate so the paperwork trail can prove your answers, if necessary.
