The banking information i used for my tax returns is no longer a valid account i over drew my account and i am trying to close it. Can i ask the irs to send me a check instead or can i use a differen

If your account is closed, the IRS will not be able to deposit your check.

They will mail your refund to the address listed on your income tax return.

Just highlight old account info and delete it and enter

new account info...make sure to delete Routing # and

account # for the one that is no longer the good account.
