The box numbers on your form do not match my w2

Box 2a on my w2 is taxable amount NOT income tax withheld

Box 2a Taxable amount  IS NOT on A W-2  !!

 

That's a 1099-R form...so if you are attempting to put box 2a into a W-2,,,you are in the wrong form !

OR...clarify exactly which form you are actually attempting to enter.....each of those forms go in at different places.

What kind of document are you entering?  There is no box "2a" on a W-2.   Do you have something else---like a 1099R?

If you have a 1099R

 

To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.
