The IRS never processed last year's amended return. Should I file my 2020 taxes?
I mailed my amended 2019 tax return around March 17 2020. The IRS still hasn't processed it and it's been almost a year. I called a few months ago and they told me to not file my 2020 taxes until they process my 2019 amended taxes. The rep told me to expect it done by March. It still isn't completed, and now the IRS seems to not be taking calls. What should I do if April rolls around and this is still not done?
