Question

The IRS rejected my 2019 AGI but the number they rejected is the one on my 2019 1040. What should I do?

Try using zero for the AGI.  When did you file 2019?  If you filed late or mailed it they might not have the AGI in the system yet.

I didn't submit it late. What will happen if I put 0?

You  won't  know unless  you try 0. It will either accept it or reject again .  Was your 2019 return Accepted?

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
