The irs website is asking for my day I filed is it just the day they accepted it or the day I actually filed and where do I find that out

The day you filed your taxes was the day that you submitted them. This is the same as if you mailed your taxes in. It would be the postmark date.

However, if that doesn't work you can try the date it was accepted.
