Do you have any fields completed in the other boxes as far as amounts?  If so, you may still need to enter the locality name to ensure the state return is processed correctly.

I am assuming you are referring to a W-2 form?  If so, please confirm and let us know which state you have taxes withheld in so we can assist you accordingly.

If you do not have any other information or amounts on your W-2 Form, you can also delete the input in the section by selecting the trash can to the right.

It is the 1099 form for unemployment.

When you enter the 1099-G, you have to enter the State OR Locality, but not both.   If you did not have state income taxes withheld, you can leave all entries in Boxes 10 and 11 blank.  Missing locality information does not usually cause a rejection, so make sure there is not something else that needs correcting on your return.   Let us know what the rejection code is, and we can provide you with your options.

If you have a 1099-G and have not filed yet, I suggest you wait until TurboTax is updated to reflect the new law changes.   The first $10,200 of unemployment has been deemed non-taxable.  You can sign up to be notified when the changes have been made in TurboTax; just you the link above.

If you have entered the state information you should be able to leave the locality blank.  If you have any other concerns, please post them here in the thread for further assistance.
