When you enter your  W-2G on the screen, there will be a blue Locality link next to Box 18. When you click on the link it will provide a list of Locality ID codes by state. If your locality is not listed or if the payment is for two or more localities you will use the code XXX instead.

This link for my code isn’t on my software nor on my w2G what do I do?  Thank you

It depends. Does your w2G have information recorded in Boxes 16-18 with 18 being name of locality. if not, leave this blank.

Hi, I left it blank and got a error saying it must be fixed.  I ended up adding xxx in the field, I hope that’s ok.  My WG2 form was blank.
