Question

The standard deduction amount is what I need to use , but it does not show up on my form, it states needs review. How do I get the program to except this entry?

Are you looking at your 1040 line 12?  Is that line blank?  

 

If you are taking the standard deduction there is nothing you need to do really as this is an automatic deduction if you do not take the Itemized Deductions.

 

One reason it would not show is if you are married filing separately and selected that your spouse is Itemizing their return.  If they itemize you must itemize as well.
