Question

The state has not charged my bank account for what I owe. TurboTax prompted me to print the payment voucher, also. Do I need to send a check in the mail for what I owe?

It depends. If you provided your bank account information for direct debit for an amount you owe, then you should NOT mail a check or payment.

If you did not, then yes, you will need to mail the voucher and a check.

If you printed out your return you can look at your return to see if you have your account number on the return. If you do, then they will be deducting it at some point. It may take a little bit of time, depending on the state and their processing methods and times.
